At Sierra Alisos, conservation is at the heart of everything we do. Our pristine primary and secondary forest reserve is a rare gem in the Andean region, preserving a habitat that once dominated the plains and mountains of the equatorial Andes.
Unfortunately, over 85% of these forests have been lost to agricultural expansion and urban pressures. Since 1984, we have been dedicated to protecting these areas, creating a sanctuary that safeguards biodiversity and inspires visitors with its natural beauty and regenerative energy.
Our forest reserve is home to endangered endemic species, native flora, and fauna, and it plays a vital role in climate regulation. By capturing carbon emissions and stabilizing the local climate, our forests provide critical environmental services that extend far beyond our property.
