At Sierra Alisos, conservation is at the heart of everything we do. Our pristine primary and secondary forest reserve is a rare gem in the Andean region, preserving a habitat that once dominated the plains and mountains of the equatorial Andes.
Unfortunately, over 85% of these forests have been lost to agricultural expansion and urban pressures. Since 1984, we have been dedicated to protecting these areas, creating a sanctuary that safeguards biodiversity and inspires visitors with its natural beauty and regenerative energy.
Our forest reserve is home to endangered endemic species, native flora, and fauna, and it plays a vital role in climate regulation. By capturing carbon emissions and stabilizing the local climate, our forests provide critical environmental services that extend far beyond our property. Moreover, the reserve serves as a crucial source of clean water for the surrounding community, enhancing both human well-being and ecological balance.
